Horror movies are always the best choice for cinema lovers. That is why horror movies can earn a lot if the plot especially plot twists is great. In the Horror genre, several subgenres excite everyone. This movie follows one of them, It is based on Zombies and post-apocalyptic themes. Which I love to watch, read, or listen to. Yes, most of you guessed it right, I am talking about “28 Years Later”.Sony Pictures shocked horror especially zombie genre lovers with the trailer on 10th December 2025 with a “coming soon” date. But if you search it on Google you can get an expected release date of 20 June 2025. Later the trailer also confirmed the date.

It will probably continue the previous part. Well, I used “probably” because the trailer does not tell much about the movie. But you have to watch the previous parts of the series to understand the storyline properly.

The first part of the series “28 Days Later” is a must-watch movie not because you are going to watch the “28 Years Later” movie in the theaters, but it’s a gem for horror movie lovers. “28 Days Later” Short Review

So this movie Was shot on an iPhone, Yes the Famous meme But this one and More famous Movies were shot on iPhone. 28 Days Later is a gripping and atmospheric horror film that redefines the zombie genre with a terrifying twist. Directed by Danny Boyle, the movie plunges viewers into a hauntingly desolate London, where a viral outbreak has turned humans into frenzied, rage-driven creatures.

What sets this film apart is its focus on the fragility of human relationships amidst chaos and its ability to maintain a relentless sense of tension. The cinematography, marked by eerie, abandoned landscapes, amplifies the dread, while Cillian Murphy’s nuanced performance grounds the story in raw emotion.

The Sequal “28 Weeks Later”

28 Weeks Later is a thrilling sequel to the iconic zombie horror film 28 Days Later. This movie ramps up the intensity with heart-pounding action and a chilling exploration of the aftermath of a devastating pandemic. It was not directly connected to the movie, but it was connected to the world of 28 days later.

“28 Years Later” Trailer Review

But after watching the trailer we can clearly notice a direct connection between the first movie and the trailer. It starts with an old TV show called “TUBBY” of late 90’s to early 2000’s that was when the first movie(2002) takes place. Then People started panicking, Probably that’s When the breakout started.
And then A countdown shows it 10,228 Days That Means it’s over 28 Years It begins. Then we can see “Days become Weeks”. That means It can be possible we can see a connection between the movie “28 Weeks Later”

Then we can Here an old radio recording in the background(Which will definitely make you feel uneasy) and the typical zombie survival tasks posters. Then the trailer continues with some interesting reveals. But an unclear but most interesting fan theory that excites me, and probably everyone is this. Fan predicted that the picture below can be the first appearance of Cillian Murphy, That shows maybe “JIM” somehow surviving the apocalypse from 28 years. But don’t expect much because the most likely theory is he has become a zombie. 

And the trailer ends with its iconic symbol given below. But the amazing thing is The cast shows  Cillian Murphy as Jim so It’s possible Jim will survive and he has not turned into a zombie. But honestly, the trailer was epic and it did not reveal the story in any way.
