CU Recruitment | Job opportunity in junior research fellow 2024
Research job opportunities at Calcutta University Ballygunge Circular Road campus. Recently, the recruitment notification has been published by the university. Accordingly, a department of the university requires staff for research work. A central agency will provide funding for the project. Through interviews, candidates’ eligibility for employment will be verified. Interested candidates need not apply in advance.
Project Details -
The project work will be in the Department of Biochemistry or Biochemistry of the University. Project Name- ‘Regulation of the Subcellular Localization of Leghemoglobin During Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation in Lotus Japonicus’. It is funded by the central agency Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB).
Position Available
The project will be appointed as Junior Research Fellow. One vacancy. Initially the appointed person will have a tenure of one year. After this, conditionally, this period can be increased up to 19 June 2027.
Qualifications
Candidates must be postgraduate students from accredited universities who have earned at least 55% in any life science course. Preference will be given for recruitment to those who have passed qualifying examination like NET or GATE and have experience in Recombinant DNA Technology.
Age Limit
The age limit of candidates for applying for the post of Junior Research Fellow will be determined as per UGC (University Grants Commission) norms.
